Legrand Care took part in the TSA’s 2024 International Technology Enabled Care Conference (ITEC). This prestigious two-day event is dedicated to supporting professionals in social care, housing, health, and technology-enabled care (TEC) to enhance their ability to provide advanced digital services.
Attendees of this event had the opportunity to engage with top-tier plenary presentations emphasizing strategic insights, innovative highlights, and an exclusive leaders lounge. These components were meticulously designed to foster networking, showcase technological solutions, and facilitate the exchange of ideas among participants.
The event featured two speaking slots. On day 1, Rt Hon Prof Paul Burstow, was the session chair for a conference titled “Empowering People’s Lives”. This session explored how Technology Enabled Care could revolutionize the way we live, offering unprecedented opportunities for personalization and empowerment. The groundbreaking and highly anticipated TEC Action Alliance Action Paper and the inaugural State of the Sector Report were unveiled in this session, providing important context for many sessions across ITEC 2024 and valuable insights into the TEC sector as a whole.
On day 2, a panel discussion focused on the Innovation stage took place. This segment delved deeper into the TEC Action Alliance Action Paper, exploring the practicalities of implementing TEC in a way that benefits everyone’s quality of life. The discussion revolved around strategies for addressing the digital skills gap among care recipients and their support networks, ensuring that TEC services are accessible and user-friendly. By emphasizing the need for integrated service provision, the panel discussed how pre-care and primary care services could serve as pivotal points for introducing TEC, ensuring early adoption and support. Highlighting the importance of co-production through robust evaluation, this session aimed to illustrate how understanding users’ needs could lead to the delivery of optimal TEC services that genuinely improve lives. The session was chaired by Alyson Scurfield, Chief Executive of TSA.
Also, Legrand Care showcased its solutions, such as Infinity and Advent XT2 for Grouped Living, Reach IP and NOVO Go for Independent Living (fixed and mobile telecare), and its platforms Answerlink, BI Tool, and PULSE CMP.
This event once again carried out its annual gala dinner where Legrand Care hosted 3 sponsored tables. This dinner featured the ITEC Awards, which celebrate innovation within the sector and the positive impact Technology Enabled Care has on the lives of millions of people in the UK.
Furthermore, Legrand Care was the App sponsor for the event. Whenever a delegate opened the App, a Legrand Care splash screen would appear for a few seconds. Additionally, a banner featuring Legrand Care’s information was displayed at the bottom of the App’s home screen, ensuring visibility throughout the day for anyone using the App.
The 2024 TSA ITEC Conference took place from March 18 to 19, 2024, at the iconic ICC in Birmingham, with over 1000 delegates in attendance.
